He was a farmer; a board member for the Edmonson County Water District and a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church.
He was survived by his wife, Patricia East McCombs of Smiths Grove, KY; one son, Donald McCombs (Laurie) of Bowling Green, KY; two daughters, Sherry Giorgio (Mike) of Bowling Green, KY and Debbie Caswell (Garry) of Munfordville, KY; one sister, Roberta Bean (Doug) of Smiths Grove, KY; seven grandchildren, Kelli Gumm, Kyla Byard (Brandon), Jessica Caswell, Josh McCombs (Ashley), Jonathan Giorgio (Tylor), Kristi Caswell and Tyler McCombs; three step-grandchildren, Stacy Roten, Ashlie Glenn and Madison Priddy; six great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one great grandchild, Logan Thomas Byard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42104 or Cedar Springs Church Building Fund, % Anthony Reynolds, 1488 Chaumont Road, Park City, KY 42160.
Burial will be in Hawkins Cemetery with Bro. Malcolm Doyle officiating.
