Guy "Tootle" Simmons, age 75 of Wingfield, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 in Bowling Green.
He was born on June 19, 1934 in Edmonson County to the late James W. and Sallie Hawks Simmons.
Tootle was a retired assembly line worker for Philip Morris Tobacco Co., a carpenter, Kentucky Colonel, member and song leader of Wingfield United Baptist Church. He was a wonderful dad, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend and loved to fish.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta Elmore Simmons of Wingfield; three sons, Danny Simmons (Goldie) of Central City, Bobby Joe Simmons (Linsey) and Randy "Biggen" Simmons (Amanda) of Wingfield; two daughters, Christal Womack and Brandy "Littlen" Simmons of Wingfield; six brothers, J.C. Simmons of Bardstown, James Simmons (Jean) of Chalybeate, Ernest Simmons (Ola Jay) of Louisville, Lawrence "Bunny" Simmons (Jane), Bennie "Buck" Simmons (Donna) and Roy "Noots" Simmons (Redea) of Wingfield; four grandchildren, Ashley Simmons (Gary) of Portland, TN, Robert Womack, Brittany Simmons and Jessie James of Wingfield and one great grandchild, Joshua London England of Portland.
Services will be officiated by Bro. Ronald Renfro with burial in the Wingfield Cemetery.
