Grover Lucas, Sr

Grover W. Lucas, Sr., age 81 of Springville, TN formerly of Brownsville, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009 in Springville. He was born August 9, 1927 in Cleveland, OK to the late Howard and Emma Carnes Lucas. He was mechanic and a member Point Pleasant Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Doris Lucas of Springville; three sons, Grover Lucas, Jr. (Marilyn) of Rhoda, Robert Young (Kathy) of Hernando, MS and Mike Young (Lori) of Rhoda; two daughters, Edna Taylor (Ron) of Chalybeate and Patrcica Quinn (Chuck) of Fairview, TN; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Grover W. Lucas III and a daughter, Paulette French. Services will be officiated by Bro. Jimmy York and Bro. Larry Dukes with burial in the Brownsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Henry Co. Hospice 311 East Wood St., Paris, TN 38242.
