Geretta Sue Ray, 73, of Brownsville, KY, departed this life on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at her residence. The Edmonson County native was born on October 29, 1940 to the late Owen and Mae Johnson Campbell and was the wife of the late Billy M. Ray.
She was a homemaker and a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Penney Sue Hawks (Randy) of Wingfield; two sons, Darrell Wayne Ray (Luanne) of Brownsville and Garry L. Ray (Kimberly Jo) of Mammoth Cave; three sisters, Edna Denham of Brownsville, Ethel Campbell and Jeanetta Cowles (Bobby) both of Louisville; three brothers, Wayne Campbell (Janie), Danny Campbell (Margie) and Dallas Campbell (Kathy) of Brownsville; seven grandchildren, Stephen Ray (Ashley), Sarah Vincent (Derek), Megan Hogan, Spencer Cooke, Wendy Fields (Brandon), Paul Cooke and Savannah Hawks; five great-grandchildren, Sawyer Ray, Carson, Julianne, Dawson & Jonah Fields and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Holly Springs Church Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Vincent, Bro. Dan Hogan and Bro. Vernon White officiating.
