Georgia Mae Johnson

April 18, 1934 — February 5, 2025

Georgia Mae Johnson, age 90 of Brownsville, peacefully departed this life at The Medical Center at Bowling Green on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. The Edmonson County native was born on April 18, 1934 to the late Conard and Mae Davis. She was married to her devoted husband, James Walter Johnson, until his passing on March 16, 2013.

Georgia was a warm and nurturing soul who dedicated herself to being a homemaker. With a kind heart, she created a warm and loving environment for her family. In her leisure time, she found joy in crocheting intricate patterns and immersing herself in coloring projects that sparked her creativity. She was a member of New Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she found the most peace.

She leaves to honor her memory— Michael Johnson (fiancee’ Sheila) of Chalybeate and her siblings, Catherine Sue Vincent of Sweeden, Linda Renfrow of Brownsville and Sammy Parker (Jewell) of Louisville. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Navajo Vincent, Evelyn Carroll, Flora Ann Browning, Wynelia Cassady, Elizabeth Vincent, Kenton Davis and Robert Davis.

There are no services scheduled at this time.
