Frances "Fran" Beckner

Frances "Fran" Beckner, age 88 of Rocky Hill, KY, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024, at Cardinal Landing in Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born on May 21, 1936 to the late Terry and Annie Payne. She was married to her devoted husband, Albert Beckner, until they were parted by his passing on March 7, 2012. 

Franc dedicated numerous years of her life to caring for others as a nurse at Graves Gilbert Clinic, where she touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues. She had a servant’s heart, which extended beyond her career. Fran was also deeply involved in her community and a proud member of Fairview Baptist Church. Her commitment to nurturing relationships was evident in her participation with the Capital Hill Homemakers, where she developed everlasting friendships. 

Additionally, Fran was an avid scrap booker. She meticulously documented moments that mattered most to her, and created tangible memories for herself and her loved ones. She also had a keen interest in genealogy, dedicating time to exploring her family history and connecting the threads of heritage that bound her to her ancestors.

She leaves to honor her memory— her loving daughters, Pam Bouland (Larry) of Park City and Paula Beckner of Chalybeate; grandchildren, Chris Rutherford (Lisa) of Smiths Grove, Barry Rutherford of Bowling Green, Aleigha Colwell (Kevin) of Lexington and Vanessa Arnold of Winchester; five great-grandchildren, Dakota Rigsby (Tara), Taylor Rutherford, Kassie Matthews (Jewell), Reagan Colwell and Piper Arnold and four great-great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Maynard and Rose Rutherford.

Interment will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery.
