Flossie Kersey

Flossie Elmore Kersey, 95, of Louisville, KY departed this life on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in Louisville.  The Edmonson County native was born April 21, 1919 to the late Zollie Thomas Elmore and the late Clarise Rebecca Elmore and was the wife of  the late Garnet Kersey.

She was  retired from  Seagram's Distillery, a member of the Eastern Star and was a charter member of  Wingfield United Baptist Church.

She is by survived by her daughter, Bridget Sue Wentling of Louisville, KY; one brother, Parker Elmore of Bee Spring, KY; two grandchildren, Charles Wentling and Sarah Wentling both of Louisville, KY; one great grandchild, Angel Wentling of Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one son, Danna Steven Kersey; five brothers, David, Lennie, Clem, Mitch and Lee Elmore and two sisters, Ory Hawks and Clency Basham.

Burial will be in the Ollie Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Joe Meredith officiating.
