Fern Anderson Slaughter, age 78 of Brownsville, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green. The Sand Springs, Oklahoma native was born October 30, 1928 to the late Bill Anderson and Ollie Daniels Anderson. She was a retired press operator for Brownsville Manufacturing, a member of Pleasant Union United Baptist Church and a 50 year member of Brownsville Rebekah Lodge #8. She is survived by her husband, Paul Slaughter of Brownsville; one daughter, Janet Dennison and husband David of Brownsville; two sons, David Slaughter and wife Lora of Bowling Green and Dan Slaughter and wife Sheila of Wingfield; seven grandchildren, Scott Dossey and wife Elisabeth, Marsha Gentry and husband Michael, Sherry Maxwell and husband Eugene, Jacey Hargis and husband Dan, Cassie Carpenter and husband Eric, Chelsea and Cameron Slaughter; Five great grandchildren. Services will be officiated by Bro. Jerry Patton and Bro. Ronald Renfro with burial in the kinslow cemetery.
