Emo Meredith

Emo Meredith, age 86 of Brownsville, passed away Monday, May 19, 2008 in Bowling Green. He was born September 25, 1921 in Edmonson County to the late Louis and Martha Clark Meredith. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, a farmer, a lifetime member of International Union of Operating Engineers, former Mayor of Brownsville and a member of Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by one son, Jerry L. Meredith (Peggy) of Brownsville; companion, Peggie S. Meredith of Brownsville; two grandsons, Michael Lee Meredith and Justin Daniel Meredith of Brownsville; one great grandson, Eli Daniel Meredith of Brownsville; one brother, Eugene Meredith of Tampa, FL; three sisters, Ethel Browning of Brownsville, Alma Holt of Brownsville and Pauline Baugh of Sellersburg, IN. Services will be officiated by Bro. Calvin Bond with burial in the Alexander Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Alexander Cemetery C/O Victor Alexander 394 Lock Rd.
