Elta Meter

Elta Mae Van Meter, 85, of Bee Spring, KY, died Thrusday, November 4, 2010 in Leitchfield, KY. She was born November 29, 1924 in Edmonson Co., KY to the late Pink Hayes and the late Lillie Ashley Hayes. She was a homemaker and a member of Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Sherbert Van Meter (Linda) of Bee Spring, KY; one daughter, Marcia Higdon of Leitchfield, KY; one brother, Frank Hayes (Diane) of Bowling Green, KY; two sisters, Roberta Decker (Wilburn) of Mammoth Cave, KY and Patsy Carroll of Bee Spring, KY; four grandchildren, Jackie Van Meter (Tammy) , Tracie Godby (Mark), David Higdon and Kevin Higdon (Marlene) and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Van Meter; three brothers, Glen, Jerry and Boyd Hayes and two sisters, Pug Harp and Bobbie Brooks. Burial will be in the Jock Church Cemeterywith Bro. Jerry Patton officiating.
