Elsie Johnson

Elsie Janice Johnson, age 86, of Brownsville, KY, passed away Friday, February 11, 2011, at her residence in Brownsville, KY. She was retired from Brownsville Manufacturing and also worked as a foster grandparent with the Edmonson County School District. She was a member of Oak Grove United Baptist Church.

She was born February 23, 1924 in Edmonson County, to the late Wilson and Hazel Madison Whalin and the wife of the late Hobert Johnson.

She is survived by three sons: Ronald Johnson (Faye), Brownsville, KY, Vernon Johnson (Rhonda), Brownsville, KY, Arnold Johnson(companion, Lisa Priddy), Oakland, KY; one sister: Laverne Holder (Bill), Indianapolis, IN; one brother: Donald Bitterman (Phyllis) of Indiana; six grandchildren: Bridgett Alexander (Jason), Allen Johnson (Courtney), Daniel Johnson (Melissa), Deanna Yoakem (Randy), Amanda Reinhardt (Eddie), Laura Hennion (Chad); ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Marvin Johnson.

Bro. Jason Alexander will officiate and burial will be in the Johnson Cemetery.
