Elro L. "Tranze" Vincent
1937 - 2016
Elro L. “Tranze” Vincent, age 79, of Bee Spring, KY, departed this life on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at his residence. The Edmonson County native was born on March 4, 1937 to the late Cleo Vincent and the late Mae Luttrell Vincent. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of fifty-eight years, Erma Brooks Vincent.
He was a member of Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 F&AM and Jock United Baptist Church.
Tranze was a retired truck driver and spent many years driving a bus for the Edmonson County School System. He spent many years serving the people of Edmonson County, where he owned the Broadway Market, Lindseyville Store and later the Dairy Queen— where he rarely met a stranger.
Tranze had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone in need. That was truly one of his greatest gifts. His love for providing for his children, and especially his grandchildren, was something that will be greatly missed.
He is survived by three sons, Timothy L. Vincent of Bee Spring, John E. Vincent (Melissa) of Smiths Grove and Nicholas Shawn Vincent of Bee Spring; five grandchildren, Wesley Brooks Vincent, Jordan Leigh Vincent, Dakota Vincent, Andrew Sikes and Isaiah Sikes and one great granddaughter, Ariana Marie Toms.
Interment will be in Jock United Baptist Church Cemetery with services officiated by Bro. Jerry Patton and Bro. Jason Alexander.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jock Church or Jock Cemetery Fund.
