Elmer Strouse

Elmer L. Strouse, 91, of Bee Spring, KY passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at his residence.

The Scott Co., Indiana native was born November 22, 1920 to the late Harry David Strouse and the  late Adellaide Jones Strouse and was married to Ida Rena Strouse. He was a Technical Engineer for ITT, WWII Army Veteran and a Former Deacon, Sunday School teacher for 50 years and a member of Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived  by his wife, Ida Rena Strouse of Bee Spring, KY; one son, Terry Lee Strouse (Janet) of Los Angeles, CA;  two daughters, Linda L. Shrum (Bill) and Rhonda Sue Strouse Kugler both of Bee Spring, KY; one brother, John Paul Strouse (Lois) of Muncie, IN and one sister, Margaret  Smith of Kokomo, IN. ; nine grandchildren, Jack Shrum, Melanie Skees, Billy Shrum, Julie Strouse, Jennifer Urroz, Cindy Neroni, Travis J. Kugler, Holly Johns and Heidi Raby and  thirteen great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one son, Larry D. Strouse and one daughter, Nedda L. Strouse.  Local services will be officiated by Bro. Calvin Bond with graveside military at Bethel Church cemetery in Leota, IN.
