Dessie Woodcock

Dessie M. Hayes Woodcock, 80, of Sunfish, KY, died Friday, December 24, 2010 in Bowling Green, KY.  She was born September 11, 1930 to the late Gilbert and Carrie Harp Hayes.  She was the wife of Jasper Woodcock of Sunfish, KY, a housewife and a member of Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church.  She is also survived by a son, Larry Woodcock (Janette) of Bee Spring, KY; a daughter, Marilyn Lyons (Chuck) of Louisville, KY; two brothers, Rev. Essie Hayes of Sweeden, KY and Athel Hayes of Bee Spring, KY; four sisters, Ocia Elmore (Richard) of Louisville, KY, Phyllis Wilson of Lousiville, KY, Margaret Van Meter and Helen Van Meter (McNeil) both of Bee Spring, KY; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Simon Meredith; a grandson, Travis Woodcock and two sisters, Rue Jaggers and Barbara Vincent.  Burial will be in Bee Spring Church Cemetery with Bro. Malcolm Doyle and Bro. Jerry Patton officiating.
