Deidre “Dee Dee” Jessup, age 55 of Bowling Green, departed this life on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at The Medical Center of Bowling Green.  The Jacksonville, NC native was born on January 1, 1966 to Carolyn Taylor Wilson and the late Thomas Zima.  She was married to Jeff Jessup, who survives.

Dee Dee served in the United States Air Force as a medic from 1984 to 1989.  Prior to her illness, she worked as a registered nurse at Tri Star Greenview Regional Hospital, and as a clinical instructor for Western Kentucky University.  No matter the setting or situation, Dee Dee always wore a beautiful smile, and her presence would light up any room.

Dee Dee was saved as an adult at Sweeden Missionary Baptist Church, and later moved her membership to Liberty Hill “Dripping Springs” Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a member until her death.

Besides her husband and mother, she leaves to honor her memory— her son, Matthew Stewart of Bowling Green; her step-father, Frank Wilson of New Mexico; brother, Thomas Zima, Jr.; half brother, Shawn Zima (Brett); dear friends, Leta Wilkerson, Linda Bohannon, Darla Moody, Donna Sowders and Susie Roark, along with several nieces and nephews.
