David Newton

David O. Newton, age 61 of Mammoth Cave, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in Bowling Green. He was born July 17, 1946 in Edmonson County, KY to the late Percy and Avis Brooks Newton. He was a Auto Body Repairman and a member of Union Light Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by one son, Chris Newton (Jeanna) of Mammoth Cave; two brothers, Laymon Newton of Bardstown and Eddie Newton of Mammoth Cave; four sisters, Blanche Hogan, Clorene Bratcher, Madge Bratcher all of Mammoth Cave and Gayle Meredith of Cub Run; two grandchildren, Casey and Trevor Newton of Mammoth Cave. He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Selma Dunn, Virginia Poynter, Jessie Martin and Wanda Hogan. Services will be officiated by Bro. Dan Hogan and Bro. James Jessie with burial in the Cove Hollow Cemetery.
