Danny "Big Mo" Minyard, 49 years of age of Brownsville, KY, lost his battle with brain cancer after a courageous fight at the Edmonson Care and Rehab, Wednesday afternoon, August 8, 2012, surrounded by his family, his EMT family and the loving staff of the center. Danny was born in Warren County, June 22, 1963 , the son of William E. "Ed" and Gertie Madison Minyard, who had been constantly by his side during the ten months of his illness. Danny worked as an EMT for the Edmonson County Ambulance Service where he was lovingly known as "Big Mo" and was Service Manager for Bailey Gibson of Glasgow and was a member of Poplar Spring United Baptist Church.
Danny is survived by two sons, Daniel and Carter Minyard of Brownsville; his parents, Ed and Gertie Minyard of Bee Spring; two sisters, Cindy Lee of Brownsville and Amy Haycraft and her husband Tracy of Bee Spring; three nephews, Chip Lee, Christopher Haycraft and Nathan Haycraft, as well as his extended family of Minyard and Madison uncles, aunts and many cousins. Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hurl and Pearl Minyard and Everette and Lucille Madison.
Burial will be in the Poplar Spring Church Cemetery with Bro. Jason Alexander, Bro. Richard Minton, Bro. Elzie Madison and Bro. Dereke Madison officiating.
