Danny Kiernan

Danny Kiernan, age 85 of Brownsville, peacefully departed this life at his home on Thursday, July 18, 2024. The Rahway, New Jersey native was born on October 16, 1938 to the late Daniel and Beatrice Velton Kiernan. He was married to his devoted wife of nearly sixty years, Glenda Kiernan, who survives.

Danny was a U.S. Army veteran, and retired as a park ranger from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He worked hard to provide for his family, and was a beloved husband, father and papaw. Danny was a true outdoorsman, and found his greatest pleasure working in his garden, fishing or hunting. 

Besides his wife, Glenda, he leaves to honor his memory— his children, Ruth Ann Wilson (Dwight) of Mammoth Cave, Daniel Kiernan II (Andrea) of Brownsville, Carol Talburt (Dwayne) of North Pole, Alaska and John Kiernan (Samantha) of Chalybeate; grandchildren, Devin Smith, Dillon and Dawson Talburt, Tucker, Owen and Hayden Kiernan, Liz West, Oren Wilson (Renee), Michael Wilson (Valerie), Dwayne Talburt, Jr., Anya Talburt, Lily Hartman, Hannah and Logan Evans and Max Epting; his siblings, Robert Kiernan, Lee Zaderaky, Lynn Kiernan, along with several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends that will miss him.

Interment will be in Alexander Cemetery with graveside military honors by Nesbit Alexander Memorial VFW Post #6937.
