Dallas Prunty

Dallas R. Prunty, age 76 of Louisville formerly of Sweeden, passed away Friday, July 17, 2009 in Louisville. He was born February 23, 1933 in Edmonson County to the late Ernest O. and Pallie Lindsey Prunty. He was retired maintenance mechanic for American Standard, a Korean War Air Force Veteran, a member of Shawnee Masonic Lodge #830 F&AM, Scottish Rites 32nd Degree and Jock United Baptist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Gillespie-Yates (Kelly) of Louisville; one stepdaughter, Gayle Defazio (Robert) of Brandenburg; two brothers, Joe Prunty of Louisville and Johnny Prunty of Mammoth Cave; three sisters, Louise Hume of Sweeden, Katie Hendricks of Louisville and Kathy Dismon of Bowling Green; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be officiated by Bro. Jerry Patton with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville. Memorial contributions can be made to American Diabetes Assoc. 161 St. Matthews Ave. Louisville, KY. Masonic Service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the Brownsville Chapel.
