1926 - 2022

Curtis Duvall, age 96 of Bee Spring, peacefully departed this life with his family by his side on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at his residence.  The Edmonson County native was born on April 8, 1926 to the late Jessie and Hattie VanMeter Duvall.  He was married to his devoted wife of fifty-eight years, Cleo Decker Duvall, until they were parted by her passing on May 31, 2007.

Curtis served our nation in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  He worked for many years as a welder for American Standard, as well as working on his farm.  Curtis was the oldest member of Jock United Baptist Church, and was faithful to his church until his health started to fail.

He leaves to honor his memory— two daughters, Deneece Cunningham of Bee Spring and Tomie Delilah Larimore (Don) of Chalybeate; six grandchildren, Amanda Thomas (Shane), Curtis Vincent (Erin), Steven Vincent (Brittany), Rex Booth (Shannon), Jody Booth (Haley) and Korinda Larimore; twelve great-grandchildren, Tyler, River and Buck Lawson, Keely and Boone Vincent, Tucker Helms, Abram and Moses Vincent, Lilah, Lola, Lachlan and Kamdyn Booth and one brother, Jerome Duvall.  Besides his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Darrell Curtis Duvall; a great-granddaughter, Marlana Lawson and siblings, Howard, Harold and Charles Duvall, Blanche Spadie and Bernice Carroll.

Interment will be in Jock Church Cemetery with graveside military honors by the Nesbit Alexander Memorial Post #6937 VFW.
