Cova Woodcock Saling, age 93 of Mammoth Cave, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008 at her residence. She was born October 5, 1914 in Edmonson County to the late Jack and Mary Decker Woodcock and married to the late Alvin Haywood Saling. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview United Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Bobby Saling of Mammoth Cave, Jackie Saling (Vada) of Louisville and Michael Saling (Linda) of Mammoth Cave; six daughters, Anna Helson (John) of Sweeden, Sonnie Ashley of Brownsville, Judy Carnes (Bobby) of Bee Spring, Kathy Mello (Tony) of Mammoth Cave, Sue Richardson (Lee) of Sweeden and Theresa Carroll (Butch) of Brownsville; daughter-in-law, Alline Curry (Jim) of Louisville; two sisters, Delola Harrod of Mammoth Cave and Ruby Messenger of Leitchfield; 29 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Billy Gene Saling, 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be officiated by Bro. Malcolm Doyle and Bro. Donald Webb with burial in the Fairview Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky 1027 Broadway Bowling Green, KY 42101.
