1949 - 2021

Clyde Brooks, age 72 of Mammoth Cave, departed this life on Friday, October 22, 2021 at his residence. The Edmonson County native was born on March 2, 1949 to the late Almon A. and Mable Kidwell Brooks. He was married to Pam Brooks, who survives

Clyde was a U.S. Army veteran.  He was a farmer, and had previously worked for the civil service and as deputy for the Edmonson County Sheriff Department.   He was a member of Hill Grove Missionary Baptist Church and Cub Run Masonic Lodge #910 F&AM.

Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— three sons, Randy Brooks of Mammoth Cave, KY, Charlie Brooks (Margaret) and Jerry Brooks (Robin) all of Cub Run, KY; eleven grandchildren, Shauna, Cody, Taylor, Lane, Devin, Ruth, Gaige, Bryer, Slade, Austin and Gavin; four great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jodi Sue, Nova Leigh, and Joseph; one brother, Charles Weldon Brooks (Sharon) of Bowling Green, KY; three sisters, Nelsie Taylor, Bobbi Wilson (Robert) and Nina Childress (Kenneth) all of Mammoth Cave, KY and a brother-in-law, Arnold Wilson of Cub Run, KY. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Terry, Jerry, Phil and Eddie Brooks and one sister, Jean Wilson.

Interment will be in Hill Grove Church Cemetery.
