Clara Lindsey

Clara Johnson Lindsey "Granny", age 89 of Brownsville, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011 in Bowling Green. She was born April 19, 1921 in Edmonson County to the late Arthur and Ollie Sowders Johnson and married to the late James Floyd Lindsey. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove United Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Clifford Lindsey (Carol) of Brownsville and Earnest Lindsey (Diane) of Louisville; three daughters, Mary Lee (Charles) of Greenwood, IN, Danzel Clemmons (Larry) and Ramona Durham (Calvin) of Brownsville; one sister, Louise Kerr of Chalybeate; thirteen grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas Cleo Lindsey and one daughter, Cova Meredith. Services will be officiated by Bro. Malcolm Doyle and Bro. Ed Lindsey with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Oak Hill Cemetery c/o Romie Clemmons 3166 Oak Hill Church Road Brownsville, KY 42210.
