Christine Gipson

Christine Sanders Gipson, age 83 of Smiths Grove, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2008 in Oakland. She was born March 1, 1925 in Edmonson County to the late Rev. Charles and Millie Highbaugh Sanders and married to the late Virdie Gipson. She was a homemaker and a member of Nolin United Baptist Church. She is survived by three brothers, Oda Sanders (Rosalee) of Pig, Duel Sanders (Nadine) of Park City and Billy Sanders (Barbara) of Mammoth Cave; six sisters, Cora Turner of Smiths Grove, Daphna Sanders of Rhoda, Josie Taylor (David) of Cub Run, Betty Childress (Michael) of Munfordville and Cleo Brown (Bill) of Mammoth Cave and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Japath Sanders and one sister, Delta Sanders. Services will be officiated by Bro. Malcolm Doyle with burial in the Hill Grove Cemetery.
