Candis Johnson

Candis Elaine Johnson, age 88 of Bee Spring, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Grayson Manor in Leitchfield. She was born July 2, 1918 in Edmonson county to the late Tommie and Ida Thompson Decker and married to the late Clifford Johnson. She was a nurse assistant at Joy Wells and many other places, a homemakeranda member of Jock United Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Floyd Gipson and wife Cosetta of Bee Spring and Denny Gipson and wife Arnetta of Mammoth Cave; three daughters, Ida Jean Duncan of Louisville, Mary White of Boston, KY and Laura Claycomb of Brownsville; one brother, Wilburn Decker of Bee Spring; one sister, Norah Rea Meredith of Bee Spring; thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, David Clifford Johnson and one sister, Cleo Duvall. Services will be officiated by Bro. Malcolm Doyle with burial in the Jock Church cemetery.
