Bro. Loy E. Houchin
1928 - 2015
Bro. Loy E. Houchin, age 86, departed this life on Monday, March 23, 2015 in Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born on August 14, 1928 to the late Estel Edward and Bertha Mae Jaggers Houchin. He was faithfully devoted to his wife of sixty-one years, Erma Wilson Houchin, who survives.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Keith Houchin (Judy) of Shadyland, KY; one daughter, Marketa Lane Doyle (Jeff) of Chalybeate, KY; three grandchildren, Chris Houchin (Charity) of Smiths Grove, KY, Beth Hawkins (Jarrod) of Cedar Springs, KY and Lesley Brower (Bryan) of Carbondale, IL; six great grandchildren, Alex Hawkins, Julia Hawkins, Rachel Houchin, Mia Reeves, Noah Houchin and Wyatt Houchin; two step great-grandchildren, Cobain Brower and Irene Brower; one brother, Coy Houchin (Brenda) of Bowling Green, KY; three sisters, Alta Dunn of Smiths Grove, KY, Eloise Dunn of Biloxi, MS and Gail Pinet of Bowling Green, KY and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Otter Gap Church Cemetery with Bro. Vernon White officiating.
