1949 - 2016

Bro. Eddie Newton, age 66, of Cub Run, KY, departed this life on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born on November 14, 1949 to the late Percy and Avis Brooks Newton. He was married to his devoted wife, Stella Childress Newton, who survives.

He was a factory worker for Campbell Hausfield and was a member of Stockholm United Baptist Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Matthew Newton of Cub Run and three sisters, Clorene Bratcher (Ray) and Madge Bratcher (Lawrence) both of Mammoth Cave and Gayle Meredith (Bill) of Cub Run.

Interment will be in Stockholm Church Cemetery.
