Bro. Johnson

Bro. William G. Johnson, age 93 of Brownsville, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2007 at his residence. He was born October 14, 1914 in Edmonson County to the late Garfield and Sarah Duvall Johnson. He was a farmer and a member of Oak Grove United Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Bertie Denham Johnson of Brownsville; two sons, Roland Johnson (Mary) of Chalybeate and William Earl Johnson (Sherry) of Brownsville; four daughters, Vernice Childress (Elmo) of Mammoth Cave, Alpha Lindsey (Lonard) of Chalybeate, Bertie Evelyn Deweese (Larry) of Cecilia and Virginia McPeak (Kenneth) of Brownsville; one sister, Maude Reed of Brownsville; one brother, Donald Johnson of Louisville; son-in-law, Jerry C. Vincent of Lindseyville; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was also preceded in death by one son, James Leonard Johnson; one daughter, Linda Kay Vincent andone granddaughter, Debra Lynn Deweese. Services will be officiated by Bro. Ronald Renfro with burial in the Johnson cemetery.
