Billie Joe Bowman, age 78 of Cub Run, departed this life on Monday, March 8, 2021 at his residence. He was born on May 13, 1942 in Louisville, KY to the late Clinton Hobart and Elizabeth Barnett Bowman.

Billie Joe was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired as a truck driver from Roadway Trucking. He was a member of the VFW and the Watterson Trail Baptist Church. BJ loved fishing, spending time on the lake, and hosting the Nolin Friday Niter Fishing Tournaments.

He leaves to honor his memory- nephew Rob Tellman of Pelham, AL, niece Beth Leftwich (Dan) of Borden, IN, his longtime companion, Rita Walker of Louisville, KY, great nephews Kyle & Ryan, family in the Bardstown area, and many friends who loved him. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Hughes, and nephew, Lee Hughes.

Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bloomfield, KY.
