Betty Basham

Betty Lee Basham, 68, of Sweeden, KY, died Saturday, February 5, 2011 in Brownsville, KY.  She was born March 11, 1942 in Edmonson County to the late Walter Gipson and the late Lillie Elmore Gipson and was the wife of the late Donnie Basham.  She was a retired seamstress at Brownsville Manufacturing Co. and a Baptist.

She is survived by a daughter, Valarie Basham of Sweeden, KY; four brothers, Lester Gipson (Caroline) of Fairdale, KY, Lawrence Gipson (Helen) of Clarkson, KY, Robert Gipson (Charlotte) of LaGrange, KY and Albert Gipson (Catherine) of Sweeden, KY; one sister, Joyce Weber (Joe) of Sweeden, KY; one grandson, Anthony Houchins of Chalybeate, KY.

Graveside service 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Jaggers Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Patton officiating.
