Bertie Brooks Logsdon, age 82 of Mammoth Cave, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2008 in Bowling Green. She was bornJuly 4, 1926 in Edmonson County to the late Charles Smith Brooks and Fannie Belle Priddy Brooks. She was a housewife, a legal assistant and a member of Union Light Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Chasteen Logsdon of Mammoth Cave; four sons, Gary Logsdon (Amanda) of Brownsville, Sam Logsdon (Sherry) of Bowling Green, Bruce Logsdon (Cathy) of Brownsville and Bobby Logsdon of Brownsville; two daughters, Zelda Foster (John Read) of Scottsville and Janet Burton of Mammoth Cave; two brothers, Hubert Brooks of Mammoth Cave and Ralph Brooks of Louisville; two sisters, Zula Smith of Mammoth Cave and Eula Thompson of Louisville; 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Dwight Wilson of Mammoth Cave. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Wilson; two grandsons, Bruce Wayen and Joey Ray Logsdon; four brothers, Frank, Abe, Almond and Easol Brooks; three sisters, Cordelia Sanders,Luella Childress and Wanda Cain. Service will be officiated by Bro. Jerry Patton with burial in the Union Light Church Cemetery.
