Benjamin Darrell Johnson, age 68 of Scottsville, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at his residence. He was born August 19, 1945 to the late Benjamin Nimow Johnson and the late Elzada Ozella Toye Johnson in Ingram, Arkansas.
Darrell was a member of Park City Baptist Church, Past Master of McLure Lodge #539 F&AM , American Legion and UAW # 2164. He served in Vietnam and was a Naval Reserve veteran. He retired from the GM Corvette plant and was a bus driver and substitute teacher for the Allen County School System.
Darrell is survived by his wife Melinda Marie Francis Johnson of Scottsville, KY; one son, Benjamin Darrell Johnson II (June) of Portland, TN; two daughters, Klara Dawn Mann of Bowling Green, KY and Melissa Lynn Greenfield (Tony) of Scottsville, KY; four stepsons, Donald James Francis (Jenny) of Park City, KY, Ronald Wayne Francis (Pam) of Alvaton, KY, David Allen Francis of Park City, KY and Larry Dean Francis (Connie) of Cave City, KY; two stepdaughters, Peggy Lynn Gallitan (John) of Princeton, KY and Debbie Titsworth of Park City, KY; one sister, Kathy Cooper of Smiths Grove, KY; five grandchildren; twelve step grandchildren; eighteen step great grandchildren . He was also preceded in death by one stepson, Herbert Lee Francis and one brother, James Gary Johnson.
Funeral service will be officiated by Bro. Robbie Perkins with graveside military rites at Bon Ayr Cemetery.
Masonic service will be 7:00 pm, Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Patton Funeral Home Park City Chapel.
