Benjamin Hernandez, age 80 of Cave City, passed away on March 25, 2023 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. The Cuernavaca, Mexico native was born on August 3, 1942 to the late Antonio Alarcon and Martina Hernandez Alarcon. He was married to Betty Poynter, who survives.

Benjamin was of the Catholic faith and had a lawn care business for many years.

Besides his wife, Betty, he leaves to honor his memory— children, Rosa Alarcon, Bertha Alarcon, Jose Alarcon and Ramon Alarcon all of Mexico; several grandchildren; step grandchildren, Anita Fernandez (Fernando), Luke Poynter, Samantha Wood, Douglas Wood, Ricky Wood (Jessica), Tammy Poynter (Rick), Hattie Poynter (Blake), Donna Poynter (Bartollo), Crystal Poynter (Brian), Rebecca Harris (Jason) and Natasha Naseef; several great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, whom he adored. He was also preceded in death by his children, Marcilena Alarcon and Benjamin Alarcon; step children, Jennifer Naseef, Larry Poynter and Karen Wood.

Interment will be in Cave City cemetery.
