Anthony Tyree Meredith

Anthony Tyree Meredith, age 76, of Franklin, KY departed this life on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born on January 10, 1949 to the late Lenard and Lucille Jaggers Meredith. He was married to his loving wife of forty-six years, Mary Lou Jaggers Meredith, until she preceded him in death on August 16, 2015.

Anthony proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired after dedicating forty years of his career as a machine operator at Tyco Adhesives. A 1967 graduate of Edmonson County High School, he was also a starting pitcher on the baseball team, a sport he truly loved. 

One of his greatest accomplishments was finding salvation at Kyrock United Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member until illness prevented him from attending. Anthony enjoyed fishing, watching old movies on television, and cherished the time he spent making memories and caring for his family. 

He leaves to honor his memory— his son, Michael Meredith (Lisa) of Franklin; his grandchildren, Jessica, Allison, Madison, Mikey and Ed Meredith; siblings, Stevie Meredith (Sarah), Donna Raymer (Larry) and Gary Meredith; his brothers and sisters in law, Robert Carter (Alice), Kelly Jaggers (Shirley) and Karen Jaggers; nephews and nieces, Chris Meredith, Derek Meredith, Shawn Jaggers, Josh Jaggers, Kevin Raymer, Rodney Raymer, Anna Sanders, Emily Hogan, Mandy Eicher, Kim Davidson, Brandy Durm and Stephanie Sanders, along with a host of friends and extended family members. Besides his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his son, Tony Meredith and his brother-in-law, Steve Jaggers. 

The interment will be in Kyrock Church Cemetery with military honors by the Nesbit Alexander Memorial Post #6937 VFW.
