Alice Meredith

Alice Meredith, age 77 of Brownsville, departed this life on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at her residence, with her loved ones by her side.  The Warren County native was born on September 20, 1946 to the late Earl Dickens and Rosie Abrams.  She was married to Estell Leon “E.L.” Meredith, until they were parted by his death on October 14, 1987. 

Alice worked for years at Holley Carburetor, then later worked at other factories in the area.  She was saved at Wingfield United Baptist Church.  Her greatest joy was being a Mammie to her babies. 

She leaves to honor her memory— her daughters, Patty Cherry and Sabrina Bullock (Jimmy) all of Brownsville; grandchildren, Meredith Harrison (Brad), Christopher Bullock (Hayley), Jacob Bullock (Samantha) and Madison Bullock; great-grandchildren, Blane Wilder Harrison, Beckley Raine Harrison and James Wyatt Bullock; nephews, Mike Belk (Karla) and Raymond Burch, and her beloved fur baby, Izzy May.  She was preceded in death by her companion, Larry “Leroy” McGrew and sisters, Juanita Burch and Shirley Graham. 

Interment will be in Wingfield Church Cemetery.
