Aleeta Deckard, age 78 of Louisville, departed this life on January 6, 2025 at her residence. The Edmonson County native was born on September 8, 1946 to the late Virgil McGrew and Nannie Lucille Deweese.
Aleeta dedicated more than 36 years of her life to General Electric, where she excelled as a line worker and took on the crucial role of union steward, advocating for her fellow employees. However, her most cherished accomplishment was finding the Lord, and joining Sweeden Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a member.
She leaves to honor her memory— her brother, Anthony McGrew (Lisa) of Brownsville, a beloved nephew, Jonathan McGrew of Bowling Green and several cousins that will miss her.
The interment will be in Sweeden Church Cemetery.
