1942 - 2020

A. LaMarr Goad, age 77, of Sweeden, departed this life on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.  The Monroe County native was born on December 20, 1942 to the late Alvis and Pauline Dossey Goad.  He was married to his wife of fifty-five years, Becky Lane Goad, who survives.

LaMarr was the owner and manager of Brownsville Manufacturing, and enjoyed working on his farm.  He served in the U.S. Army National Guard, and was a member of Pleasant Union United Baptist Church.  LaMarr was a Kentucky Colonel; a former member of the Edmonson County Lions Club and served for many years as a board member for Limestone Bank.

Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory-- two children, Krissie Booker (Neal) of Bee Spring and Greg Goad (fiancée Tonya) of Sweeden; four grandchildren, Emma and Eli Booker and Mia and Grayson Goad; two siblings, Dottie Shell of Bowling Green and Aaron Goad (Laura) of New Albany, IN and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in Sweeden Church Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to:  Sweeden Cemetery Fund, c/o John Stewart, P.O. Box 122, Sweeden, KY  42285.
